Aaron Yarbough is an American Football player and entering his 13th year of arena football. He is widely known for his savvy route running, speed, and playmaking abilities. "He's the type of player that you want to coach.....not figure out how to stop him", said Stampede head coach Bernie Nowotarski, who has coached against Yarbough for four years. Throughout his career, Yarbough has played for teams such as the Philadelphia Soul (AFL), Colorado Crush (AFL), Richmond Speed (af2), Baltimore Blackbirds (AIFA), Baltimore Mariners (AIFA), and Harrisburg Stampede (AIF). He has won three Arena/Indoor Football Championship rings; with Baltimore Mariners (2014), Harrisburg Stampede (2013), and again with the Baltimore Mariners (2010 - history making perfect 16-0 record). In his first year with the Harrisburg Stampede, Yarbough averaged 18.6 yards per catch (led team). He is currently the 2nd all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns in Baltimore Mariner history.

Yarbough attended the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) as a dual sport athlete (football and track & field) for the Keydets. He was recruited by then Head Coach Bill Stewart as a quarterback/wide receiver. Prior to reporting for camp, Coach Stewart resigned and Ted Cain (former NC State offensive coordinator) took over. Two years later, Coach Cain was replaced by Cal McCombs (former Assistant Coach at Air Force Academy). Despite VMI's struggling seasons and multiple coaching changes, Yarbough managed to haul in 91 catches, 1,037 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He started 43 games for the Keydets as a slot wide receiver, punt returner, and kick returner. His averages (11.4 yards per catch, 10.8 yards per punt return, and 25.4 yards per kick return) kept him as a top 10 performer in the Southern Conference and ultimately caught the attention of NFL scouts. On the track, Yarbough's had even more success. An All-Southern Conference performer in indoor/outdoor long jump, All-Southern Conference performer in 4x100m relay, and winner of two Southern Conference Championships. Yarbough graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Yarbough attended Mount Vernon High School (Alexandria, Va) as a triple sport student-athlete. As the starting varsity quarterback since his sophomore year, Yarbough became known as one of the most dangerous option-quarterbacks in the Northern Virginia area. He led the Majors to their first National District championship and Virginia 5A regional action in over 10 years. In his senior year, Yarbough rushed for 700 yards, 13 TDs, and set school records for Longest TD Pass & Longest Non-scoring Pass. In basketball, Yarbough started at point guard for two years. The Mount Vernon Gazzette referred to him as "TD", known for his "tenacious defense" and his "touchdowns". On the track, Yarbough was an All-District sprinter & long jumper, All-Region sprinter, and a State & National performer in the 4x100m relay. He was nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman, voted Mount Vernon High School's Male Athlete of the Year, and apart of Who's Who in America while maintaining a 3.6 GPA. In 2013, Yarbough was inducted into Mount Vernon High School's Athletic Hall of Fame.
